WENLOCK OLYMPIAN SOCIETY

The Fencing event started promptly with the Senior Epee event running very smoothly and finishing by 2.20 PM. Fourteen different clubs were represented between the different categories.

It is pleasing to report that one of the Bronze medallist Alex James, in the Men’s Senior Epee, learnt to fence at Much Wenlock before joining Shrewsbury Fencing club as an adult.

Some of the Much Wenlock U13 team members had only been fencing for about 2 months and were up against some strong opposition who had been fencing for several years. They all did very well and hopefully learnt a lot from the experience which will stand them in good stead for future competitions.
