The 126th Wenlock Olympian Games will take place in Much Wenlock and other sites across Shropshire from 8th to 21st July 2012.
To celebrate London Olympics we are making the 2012 Games even more special! We have added a number of new sports to the programme, including a Marathon, Gliding and a 100 Mile Walk. We are are also holding two Special Events during the Games period.
On Thursday 12th July there will be an Opening Ceremony with a procession from the town to the Linden Field followed by a performance of the Official Olympic Welcome Song by Eliza Carthy.
On Saturday 14th July a Wenlock Olympian Games Celebration will be held in the town with Street markets, entertainment and exhibitions.
