Live Arts Festival

The 2017 Wenlock Olympian Live Arts Festival took place on Saturday 11 March, Sunday 12 March, Saturday 18 March and Sunday 19 March.

Classes in Dance, Music and Speech & Drama were held and the festival was attended on Sunday 12th by the President of the Society: Jonathan Edwards, CBE as well as the Mayor of Much Wenlock – Councillor Bert Harper.

About the Festival

Wenlock Olympian Live Arts Festival has taken place each year since 1979. Competitions were held in the performing arts as part of the original Olympic Games.

The Festival is held in March each year at the Edge Arts Centre, William Brookes School, Much Wenlock.

There are competitive classes in dance, music and speech & drama for children and young people aged 18 and under.

The Festival is organised and staffed entirely by volunteers
