The 2022 Wenlock Olympian Society creative writing competition has now finished. The competition judge, Char March, selected the three medallists from a short list of six which are:

Silver: ‘Call me Donal’ by Lindsey Williams of England
Bronze: ‘More of a Wednesday Girl’ by Brian G Ross of Scotland

Char also highly commended the story ‘Amelia’s Entry’ by Colin Brezicki. Char also  provided feedback to the authors of the winning stories.

Wenlock Olympian Society medals will be sent to the medallists.

Entries were submitted by authors living in many countries: UK, Ireland, Italy, Canada, India, Israel, New Zealand, Romania and the USA. The wide ranging and interesting topics chosen by the authors were enjoyed by all competition readers.

The organisers wish to thank all those who entered and hope they will take part in next year’s competition – details of which will be published later this year.
